Life After Christmas

That very first Christmas life was changed forever. Now it seems we don't recognize that difference enough. I don't think about who I would be if Jesus hadn't come down as a baby.

But I should.

Madeline L'Engle wrote-

"Was there a moment, known only to God, when all the stars held their breath, when the galaxies paused in their dance for a fraction of a second, and the Word, who had called it all into being, went with all His love into the womb of a young girl, and the universe started to breath again, and the ancient harmonies resumed their song, and the angels clapped their hands for joy?"

We call it Christmas. Few know that it is forever.

We have been searching.....so what is the Spirit of Christmas then?

"For when it is all said and done, and all the events of the story are considered, I believe that Christmas spirit is not as elusive as we might have imagined. And I can say with some certainty what the real spirit of Christmas is.

The real Christmas spirit is a deep-seated, lingering joy in knowing the story is TRUE!

Remove the trees, and the lights, and the poinsettias, and the candles, and the decorations, and the presents, and the food, and the music.....and the story is still there. It is still true and our joy is still full!

The search is over. Let the rejoicing begin!"

Don't forget.
